"From the Paperback edition."
Love the intricacies of this book. And Ray Dotrice is the perfect narrator!
Loved the book, plan on listening to the rest of the series.
If you love the show you should know the book will be better! I love the narrator he changed up his voice for different characters which makes it a bit more fun!
This is how you start a saga! The characters are engaging and compelling, story is fast paced and exciting and the narration is lovely! Absolutely recommend to everyone!
Narration leaves a bit to be desired (it gets better as the series continues). Martin's writing is (as always in the GoT franchise) worth the try.
Love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love
Watched the show for years, finally started the books which are definitely better.
I'm so happy to finally be able to enjoy these books!
Of course the book is wonderful! I most likely wouldn't have bought it if not for the virtual certainty of the excellence of the story. The narrator is not bad at all. Obviously when one chooses to listen to a book as oppose to reading it, one must accept whichever voice that comes with it. He is talented, is able to differentiate characters well, but something about his accent was a bit too uppity sounding. From that starting point I couldn't get the mental picture or of my head of a British aristocrat reading to a full room.
